IGNOU Assignment Submission Last Date 2025 (TEE December) 

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has shared the final dates for submitting assignments for the December 2025 Term-End Examination (TEE). Every student who wants to appear for the December exams must submit their assignments before the deadline. Assignments are very important because they help you score better and also decide whether you are allowed to write the exam or not.

For the TEE December 2025 session, the last date to submit your assignments is 31st October 2025. This is an extended date and is valid for students of ODL, Online, GOAL, and EVBB programmes. Students should follow the submission instructions given by their Regional Centre or Study Centre, as each centre may use either offline or online modes.

Submitting assignments on time makes your exam preparation easier. You can study peacefully without last-minute stress. Since assignments carry a good percentage of marks, early submission also improves your final score.

If you joined IGNOU in the July 2025 session under any semester-based programme, you must submit assignments by 31 October 2025 to appear in the December exams.

Deadlines for Semester and Annual Programmes

For Semester-Based Programmes:

If you enrolled for the July 2025 cycle, you must submit all your assignment answers by 31 October 2025. Only then you can appear for TEE December 2025.

For Annual Programmes:

Students with annual-mode programmes must also submit assignments for their current session by 31 October 2025.
Some programmes have special rules, so check your programme guide or your Regional Centre’s latest notice.

You can get your assignment question papers from the official IGNOU assignment portal. Here’s how:

IGNOU Assignment Submission Methods 2025

IGNOU allows two types of submission: offline and online. The method depends on your Regional Centre.

Offline Submission (Most Common)

Submit your handwritten assignments at your Study Centre.

IGNOU Assignment Weightage 2025

Assignments carry 30% marks in most IGNOU programmes. The TEE exam carries 70% marks.

Minimum passing marks for assignments: 40 out of 100 (may vary by programme, so always check your guide).

Assignments are compulsory:  If you do not submit them, you will not be allowed to write the TEE for that subject.
